AGA KHAN

The title Aga Khan was given in 1818 by Fath Ali Shah Qajar Shahanshah of Persia to the 46.Imam of the Ismaili sect of the Shia branch of Islam. In 1957 the Aga Khan was granted the title His Highness by Queen Elizabeth II and in 1959 His Royal Highness by the Shah of Iran.
The Aga Khan descends through the Fatimid Caliphs of Egypt and Syria of Fatima, daughter of the Prophet Muhammad, and her husband and cousin Ali ibn Abu Talib, considered to be the first Imam. The ancestor in the male line is Qusai ibn Kilab ibn Murrah (ca. 400-480), member of the Quraysh tribe and Trustee of the Kaaba in Mecca. The family traces its ancestry back to Ismail, son of Abraham.

WALDERSEE

The counts von Waldersee descend from Franz Johann Graf v. Waldersee (1763-1823), an illegitimate son of Leopold III Duke of Anhalt-Dessau.
They are therefore members of the German dynasty of Ascania, with as oldest proven ancestor Adalbert Graf von Ballenstedt, who lived in the 11th century.

Massive earthquake in Japan

How many of you know, I am (also) of earthquakes, and for many years. I am a founder and national coordinator of the Italian Experimental Seismic Network ( www.iesn.org ). I have registered in recent decades, thousands on my seismographic instruments. The seismographic monitoring station of Canelli, run by me, however, is currently in phase shift (I'll tell you when it becomes operational, if you're interested).

The video above on the quake of magnitude 8.9 on the Richter scale is very impressive ... in duration and effects. Without going into technical details, I just point out to you how you can clearly distinguish the arrival of the P and S waves (in order of volume) is eminently vibrating and then be followed by waves L (surface waves) to eminently wave.

impressive. And think that Japan is the country in the world with the most advanced measures antisimiche (one of all ... when the sensors detect the P waves .. removed automatically and in a split second to the current speed trains, using the braking of trains)

not mess with earthquakes. We say only that hurry up ... talking in terms of the event in Tokyo today released over 30 thousand (30,000!) times the kinetic energy developed in the recent earthquake in L'Aquila.

Do you think that macroseismic effects (ie damage) would cause a shock like that in our country.

ISS show this evening!

For those interested in what (applications from those who make me friends .. I would say that many of you ..) I highly recommend looking into the sky, tonight between 19.15 and 19, 18, in west-northwesterly direction . You will see a very bright ISS (International Space Station) pass right over our heads. On board including Italian Paolo Nespoli .

last night hailed the ISS (for the last time) the shuttle Discovery, which has been detached from it to return to Earth.

An incredible sight for someone like me, could see (unfortunately not be able to document the What work because) the two bright "things" spur one another. But tonight is also the only one I recommend you look at ISS. Ricordatevene, put an alarm on your phone, maybe .. and with this clear sky will not regret it. And I defy anyone not to see it clearly with the naked eye!

The title Duke of York IS sincere Used 1385 by the British (Français) royal family. I'm his year of Edmund Langley, Edward III of his King of England, was made Duke of York. The last creation was in 1986 for Andrew, son of Queen Elizabeth II.
When the present Duke of York is the son of Philip Mountbatten, born Prince of Greece and Denmark, he belongs to the Germanwings Oldenburg dynasty, with as oldest proven Ancestor Egilmar Count or Aldenburg 1088.

Here we go again! Canelli is preparing for the second time to celebrate the pig in all its meanings, with the tasty event from pig to pig .
A summary of the official program found HERE .

Already last year we talked about it and expressed my doubts about many opportunities and convenenienza of this event by its title, however, horrible. (For new readers distracted and we talked HERE).

I'd like to know how many practical benefits that fall on our territory or to obtain last year, much to think about a repeat s agra village that celebrates Canelles a product that is not at all.

And what has been done to promote the wine Canelli ... that much of the local income producing for centuries?

Update 14.58 hours of March 6, 2011:

Uhm ... I did a ride a couple of hours. I state that I did not go at the Cantine Gancia where it appears they are to perform the highlight of the event. But I took some pictures in the center, and I seem to describe quite well what I want to criticize, albeit in a civil manner and purposeful, this event .. Let's see:
